Meltwater
In Meltwater, two players lead the shattered remnants of former superpowers across a frozen, radioactive wasteland. This tactical board game focuses on positioning, pressure and survival as each side attempts to control the limited habitable ground.
With streamlined, diceless mechanics, players displace opposing survivors, create dangerous corners and isolate vulnerable groups. Hunger is a constant threat, while radioactive contamination advances from the coastline, steadily reducing the available playing area. As the tundra contracts, decisions become increasingly urgent and confrontations harder to avoid.
Every move can affect the balance of power. Players must judge when to hold territory, when to force an opponent back and how to preserve their remaining survivors in an environment that supports fewer and fewer people.
