Bring imaginative cooking play to life with the Melissa & Doug Simmer & Stir Stovetop Play Set. This engaging 19-piece pretend kitchen toy lets children act out preparing, simmering and serving meals using a compact stovetop, pan and realistic cooking accessories.
The clever colour-changing play food is activated with water. Children can use the water-dispensing spoon or squeeze bottle to add water, then watch the food change from pale “uncooked” colours to brighter “cooked” colours. Once the pieces dry, they are ready to use again, making the set ideal for repeat play.
The set includes a durable stovetop, cooking pan, spoon, squeeze bottle, double-sided reusable activity card, six colour-changing vegetables, six colour-changing protein pieces and two double-sided colour-changing meal discs. The activity card provides simple visual prompts to encourage children to follow recipes, sort ingredients and create their own pretend dishes.
