Turn an ordinary cardboard box into an extraordinary animal friend with the Boxineers Cardboard Animals Craft Kit from Learning Resources. Children can design and build imaginative box pets such as cats, dogs, dragons, unicorns and other colourful creatures using the included child-friendly tools and reusable pieces.
This hands-on construction set makes creative play feel like an engineering adventure. Children can punch holes, secure parts with bolts and brackets, and experiment with different combinations of ears, eyes, paws, tails, mouths and other animal features. The parts can be taken apart and used again, making it easy to create a new cardboard animal whenever inspiration strikes.
Boxineers is designed to encourage creativity while developing useful early STEM skills. As children plan their designs and assemble their creations, they practise problem-solving, experimenting, hand-eye coordination and fine motor control. It also introduces an enjoyable way to reuse and upcycle cardboard boxes before recycling them.
Please note: cardboard boxes are not included. Use a suitable clean cardboard box from home as the base for each creation.
