Kavango
Explore the wilderness of Southern Africa in Kavango, a strategic board game about restoring habitats and protecting vulnerable wildlife. Players take on the role of conservation experts, developing individual nature reserves through three fast-paced rounds of simultaneous play and card drafting.
Build a balanced ecosystem, complete research projects and generate funds to invest in conservation. As your reserve grows, each decision becomes more demanding: choose which species to support, how to develop your landscape and when to commit valuable resources to protection.
Designed by Matt and Zara, drawing on their conservation work in Botswana, Kavango combines accessible mechanisms with a richly themed setting. The game includes 160 unique species cards, research cards, conservation experts and landscape boards, creating varied combinations and strategic possibilities from one session to the next.
