The expansion adds asymmetrical player powers, new starting equipment, a new worker location and a fresh deck of cards. Explorer-track bonuses are replaced by variable scoring objectives, while additional faction bonuses reward players who reach the end of the tracks first.
Each round features a unique scoring objective, creating meaningful choices between pursuing an immediate opportunity or preparing for a larger score later in the game. The expansion also includes the components required to add a fifth player to the experience.
For solo play, Forgotten Lands includes a campaign with three difficulty levels and variable side missions, offering a different challenge across repeated games.
