In Coup, you lead a powerful family in an Italian city-state where corruption and political influence shape every decision. Your aim is to eliminate the influence of rival families and become the last player standing.
Each player has hidden influence represented by face-down character cards. On your turn, you may claim an action, collect income, take control of the treasury or attempt to remove an opponent’s influence. The challenge is that you may claim the abilities of any character, whether or not that character is actually in your hand.
Other players can challenge your claims or attempt to block your actions, creating a tense game of deduction, bluffing and calculated risk. If a challenge exposes a false claim, you lose influence; if the challenge fails, the challenger pays the price.
