Enter a colourful fantasy world where rival mages battle through carefully timed spells, clever combinations and tactical decisions. In Chroma Arcana, each player builds a unique magical identity by choosing an Ego, a Major Colour with its associated Sigil and Rote, and two Minor Colours.
During play, place Spell cards into your spellbook, then charge them by discarding cards of matching colours. Once charged, spells must be cast, creating opportunities to disrupt an opponent or strengthen your own strategy. Different spell types offer distinct effects: Bursts act immediately, Minions provide benefits over several turns, Edicts deliver powerful one-turn effects and Wards remain in play until their trigger is met.
Item cards add further tactical options, including Potions that counter opposing spells and Arcanas that enhance your magical plans. Reduce your rival’s health to zero to claim victory.
