Commemorating Marilyn Monroe’s 100th birth anniversary, the Barbie Signature Collection releases a fashion doll modeled after her screen appearance in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. This edition accurately recreates the “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend” costume with a form-fitting pink dress, a distinct oversized bow centered on the back panel, matching gloves, and sparkling diamond accents distributed across the gown.
Display Specifications
The figure ships complete with a rigid doll stand, a protective display box, and a printed Certificate of Authenticity. Because the doll is engineered as a static display item rather than a traditional playset, the center joint requires the included stand to maintain vertical posture. Once secured, the figure fits entirely inside the original packaging to preserve its presentation condition and shield the printed clothing from dust accumulation.
- Essential display components: Molded stand and retail box
- Authentication: Individual Certificate of Authenticity included per unit
- Recommended age rating: 6 years and up
Collector Guidelines
Slight variations in fabric dye shades or decorative placement may occur across different production runs, following standard industry practices for detailed miniature apparel. The combined inclusion of the authentication document, mounting hardware, and shelf-ready casing positions this release specifically for archival storage, cinema memorabilia collections, and serious Barbie series collectors who prioritize historical accuracy and permanent exhibition over active play scenarios.
