1920: Nest of Eagles
1920: Nest of Eagles is a strategic wargame for two players, with an alternative three-player format, set during the Polish-Soviet War. Players direct major military operations across three theatres, managing forces, movement and morale as the conflict develops.
This intermediate-complexity game uses a hex-and-counter system and introduces distinctive strategic mechanisms, including lines of friction, reaction movement and morale advantage. These systems create changing tactical pressures and encourage careful planning rather than relying solely on direct confrontation.
The game also represents the divided loyalties of Ukrainian forces, with distinctive units able to fight on either side of the conflict. Players must balance their available forces and respond to developments across a broad operational map.
